By creating an account or using the WatchOdyssey application or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including collectors, visitors, and anyone who contributes content to the Service.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that all registration information you provide is accurate and current.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@watchodyssey.app if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account. You may not transfer or sell your account to another party.
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service, including photos, journal entries, watch details, and ownership records ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant WatchOdyssey a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. You represent that you have the right to submit any content you post and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party. You agree not to submit content that is false, misleading, defamatory, infringing, unlawful, or otherwise harmful.
A core purpose of WatchOdyssey is to preserve the complete, unbroken provenance record of each timepiece — including ownership history, journal entries, and associated photos contributed by all past and present owners. When you contribute ownership records, journal entries, or other watch journey data, that contribution may be retained even after your account is deleted, in order to preserve the integrity of the provenance record for current and future owners of that timepiece. See Section 9 (Account Deletion) for details. You acknowledge that content you contribute to a watch journey may be visible to other users in accordance with your selected privacy settings.
You may choose to make individual watch journeys public or private at any time. Public journeys are visible to all users and may be shared externally. Private journeys are visible only to you. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
WatchOdyssey provides tools for users to record and transfer watch ownership. However, we do not independently verify the accuracy of ownership claims. Users are solely responsible for the truthfulness of the ownership information they submit. WatchOdyssey is not liable for disputes arising between users regarding the ownership or provenance of any timepiece.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You may request deletion of your account at any time. Upon confirming deletion in the app, your account will be permanently deleted immediately. This action cannot be undone.
When your account is permanently deleted, your profile, display name, and personal information will be removed. However, watch journey records, ownership history, and journal entries you contributed will be retained in anonymised form — attributed to "Deleted User" — in order to preserve the completeness and integrity of the provenance record for current and future watch owners.
To delete your account, go to your Profile tab in the app and scroll to the bottom of the account options, or contact us at support@watchodyssey.app.
All rights in the Service, including the WatchOdyssey name, logo, design, and software, are owned by WatchOdyssey and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or intellectual property other than as strictly necessary to use the Service.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or legality of any content submitted by users.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WatchOdyssey shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
